The Anti-Discrimination Legal Forum (ADLF), in partnership with the Law Alumni Association of North South University (LAANSU) and the South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG), hosted a pivotal discussion titled “Investigating International Crimes” on September 11, 2024. Held at North South University, the event convened legal experts, scholars, and human rights advocates to dissect the complexities of prosecuting grave violations of international law, with a focus on Bangladesh’s evolving jurisprudence.
Keynote Speaker: Mr. Brad Adams
The discussion was headlined by Mr. Brad Adams, a globally respected human rights advocate and former Executive Director of the Asia Division at Human Rights Watch. With over two decades of experience in Bangladesh, Mr. Adams has spearheaded groundbreaking investigations into systemic abuses, including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, war crimes, and suppression of free speech. His work has been instrumental in shaping international discourse on accountability and justice in South Asia.
